It's Great To Be Eight

8 years old! Dad made Hayden a Pikachu cake. (that is Hayden's friend next to him) Hayden loves Pokemon and he collects Pokemon cards. He would arrange and rearrange them all day long if I let him.

This is what happens when plastic PVC pipe collides with your face. He went for stitches and
about an hour later they came out and we had to go back and get more! He was so good and didn't even cry. This is the same kid who screams at the top of his lungs at the dentist!

Hayden was so excited for his baptism. This was when the flu was raging through our small little community. It kept us down for 3 weeks. Hayden said he didn't care if no one could come - as long as he and Dad weren't sick he wanted to be baptized. We all ended up being able to go and most of the extended families came too. Little ones and grandparents all stayed home.

This was the 2nd grade play. "Anansi and the Moss Covered Rock" It was really cute. Hayden was a rhinoceros. Dalton is in the very right hand corner. They sang and all had parts to memorize.
